What’s included in your free setup
We take care of the registrations and paperwork, so you can focus on opening your doors.
- ABN: we apply for your Australian Business Number.
- GST registration: we register you for GST when you need it or choose to.
- PAYG withholding: we register you if you’ll have employees.
- Business name: we register your business name with ASIC.
- Your company: we help you set up your company, from choosing the structure details to preparing what’s needed for the ASIC application.
- Director ID: we guide you through getting your director ID. Every director needs one before being appointed, and you apply for it yourself. No one can apply on your behalf.
- Your books from day one: your accounting software set up with the right accounts, ready for your first BAS.

A company also pays an ASIC annual review fee each year after registration ($342 for a proprietary company from 1 July 2026). Fees are set by ASIC and the ATO and can change each 1 July.

Is the setup really free?
Our setup work is free when you join any monthly plan. Government fees, such as ASIC’s company and business name fees, still apply. One-off onboarding from $299 and a 3-month minimum apply to all plans.
Do you register my company?
We help you set up your company and prepare what’s needed for the ASIC application. We’re not an ASIC registered agent, so the application is lodged in your name, with our help.
What is a director ID and how do I get one?
A director ID is a unique identifier every company director needs before being appointed. You apply for it yourself, free, through the Australian Business Registry Services, and no one can apply on your behalf. We’ll guide you through the steps.
What government fees will I pay?
From 1 July 2026, ASIC charges $636 to register a proprietary company and $47 for a 1-year business name registration ($108 for 3 years). ABN, GST and PAYG withholding registrations and your director ID are free.
Do I need to register for GST?
You must register once your GST turnover reaches $75,000 a year ($150,000 for non-profit organisations), and you can choose to register earlier. We’ll help you decide.
What if I don’t join a plan?
The free setup comes with a monthly plan. If you only need setup help, ask us for a quote.
